All proceeds will be used to cover the monumental fees associated with international travel and competitions. Due to the verbiage in the requirements for being named to the US team, I still have the burden of covering these cost myself.
Sammy Team SpyV Mascot: Sammy is a snow turtle Mike's wife, Kris, bought for Michael at the beginning of his training for the 2018 Paralympic Winter Games. Mike being a surfer who spent half his time at the beach surfing and “turtles” under the waves because he’s only got one hand, and spends half his year on snow snowboarding, she thought he was a perfect gift. Since then, Sammy the turtle has traveled to every country and every race that Mike has competed in. He’s become a lucky charm and Mike never leaves home without him. It’s also been a sweet way for Kris to feel like she's always with them.
